Lay associates do not join our Congregation as religious. Rather, they journey spiritually with Grey Nuns, following in the footsteps of Marguerite d’Youville, striving to develop an abiding trust in a provident God. Through their rite of association, Grey Nun associates make a commitment to personal prayer, community and service to the poor. As Grey Nuns and associates pray and serve together, the sum of the parts becomes greater than the whole. Together, we serve as instruments of God’s Divine Providence to others. There are more than 80 Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart Associates in different areas of the United States. For information on lay association, call, write or e-mail Sister Joan Daly, GNSH or Ms. Janet Friedman, GNSHA. Sister Joan Daly, GNSH or Ms. Janet Friedman, GNSHA Home
