Altar Facelift
Gift of an Anonymous Donor

that has graced the Sacred

Heart Chapel at the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart from the time of the chapel's erection in the mid-1960s has had a facelift!
The chapel was renovated in 1997, to meet the needs of a "senior population", increase safety and accessibility and to bring an older chapel into greater compliance with more liturgical norms.
The "marble work" in the chapel was not able to be done because of financial constraints and priority of needs. A temporary altar has been in use since 1997 but intention was to re-size and relocate the marble altar which was the gift of a 1960's donor.
A generous donor provided the funding for us to do this very specialized and costly work.
