We, the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart teach the young, feed the hungry, care for the elderly, counsel the addicted, visit the imprisoned and provide hope for the needy and neglected. We promote values of peace, compassion, justice and reverence for life.

We can only continue our work—the work begun so many years ago by St. Marguerite d’Youville—with the assistance of generous benefactors. The individuals and organizations that support our mission enable us to make a positive difference in the lives of many others every day!

The Congregational Advancement Office of the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart builds relationships with supporters and seeks financial gifts that allow our sisters to:

Prayer Cards for the Deceased

General Intention Cards

Mass is celebrated in Sacred Heart Chapel in the Yardley Motherhouse on the first Tuesdayof the month for the deceased, for all memorials and for general intentions.

Appeals
Gifts made through our direct mail appeals support the various ministries of the working sisters and the health care needs of our senior sisters. Please call the Congregational Advancement Office and ask to be placed on our mailing list.

Bequests
A gift through your will is an effective way to support the Grey Nuns and possibly allow for generous estate tax advantages.

Matching Gifts
A gift to the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart may qualify for a matching gift from your employer. Contact your human resources department for information on your company’s qualifying charities. They will supply a form that should be completed and sent to the Grey Nuns with your gift.

United Way
When giving through the United Way, remember that the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart are eligible to receive your gifts through the donor option program.

Non-Cash Gifts
Stocks, bonds, transferable stock options and real property can provide certain tax advantages for you, while making funds available for immediate use by the Grey Nuns. Donors are credited for the estimated value of the gift at the time of donation. Contact the Congregational Advancement Office for details on non-cash gifts.

Planned Gifts
Gifts of life insurance policies, trusts, etc. can provide resources for the Grey Nuns while ensuring a life income for the benefactor. Information about these programs are available upon request through the Congregational Advancement Office.

Car Donations
You can donate your used car to Charity Auto Donations, designate the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart as the recipient charity and receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of your vehicle. Call the Congregational Advancement Office for details on auto donation.

Prayer for Our Benefactors

God our Father, look on us with kindness; give us Your boundless mercy and lasting blessing. You have given us many blessings and sent us many gifts from Your hands and through the hands of others. We ask You to bless those who have been our benefactors. Fill them with joy at the coming of Your Son; protect them with Your unfailing Providence and be gracious to them.

We ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus the Lord.
