Who are Grey Nun Associates?

Grey Nun Associates are lay women and men who are looking for a deeper and more active spiritual life. We journey spiritually with Grey Nuns and cherish the charism of St. Marguerite d’Youville, Mother of Universal Charity and continue her devotion to Divine Providence and the Eternal Father. What do Associates do?

Grey Nun Associates commit to personal prayer, community and service to the poor. We seek to live our Gospel call to create a compassionate world in our day by using our gifts and abilities to promote values of compassion, social justice and reverence for life. We do this in a wide variety of ways: reaching out to those who are uneducated, sick, homeless, addicted, immigrants, and elderly. We have Grey Nun Associate communities in Atlanta, GA, Buffalo, NY, Ogdensburg, NY, Queens, NY and Philadelphia and Bucks County, PA and Kodiak, Alaska. These local Associate communities provide an environment in which our Associates come together for prayer, faith sharing and service in relationship with the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart.
