In advance of Super Bowl 2014, Tri-State CRI, in partnership with the NJ Coalition Against Human Trafficking and ECPAT-USA, is leading a large scale human trafficking awareness campaign. They are providing the training and materials for hotel/motel managers to educate their employees to recognize the signs of trafficked individuals, and the proper follow up steps to take. LCWR Region 3 and the Philadelphia Area Coalition for Responsible Investment (PACRI) are also collaborating with the lead organizations in preparing for Super Bowl 2014 which will be held in New Jersey.
Grey Nuns Betty Bagen, Anne Boyer, Rose Mary Cauley, Anne Zita Crudden, John Helen Main, Roseanne Walker, Connie Welsh and Frances Whitman volunteered to help PACRI by contacting the motels in Mercer County, NJ alerting them to the human trafficking dangers that a major sports event such as Super Bowl 2014 is likely to occasion and offering to provide the training and other materials they would need to make this campaign against human trafficking a success. Thank you, Sisters!
