Thank you for your Generosity!

In this season of giving we are grateful for your support of our initiatives to assist our neighbors. In response to the needs in the Philippines following Typhoon Haiyan, we received $2350 in outside donations which we matched for a total of $5000. This was given to the Sisters of Mercy working directly with those most affected by the devastation.
We recently received a note of thanks for contributions made to SOIL in the name of the GNSH. We’d like to share the story of Luciania. She lives in Shada an area not recognized by the govern-ment as a legal settlement, between a highway and a flood-prone river. She and her neighbors used shoreline latrines that emptied into the river endangering their health and the environment. Through SOIL, and your generous support, she now has a composting toilet supplied by SOIL in her home for herself and her young niece. Click here for more information about SOIL.
