Sister Josephine Patti 60th Jubilee

Sister Josephine PattiSister Josephine Patti (Sister Joseph Therese) has a fondness in her heart for Kodiak, AK, where she spent several years at Griffin Memorial Hospital/Kodiak Island Hospital. She was nourished by the people she encountered in Alaska, at work and at home, and by the exceptional beauty of God’s creation on that small island. Jo was educated in North Tonawanda and Buffalo, NY, and met the Grey Nuns at D’Youville College. After working for a year, she entered the congregation and subsequently earned a degree in Medical Technology and a Masters in Health Administration. Her ministry was primarily focused in health care in Georgia, Alaska and New Hampshire, where she served as medical technologist, administrator and Vice President for Mission Integration. Sister Jo served the congregation in leadership and then as secretary and presently as Assistant Secretary for the congregation.

My life as a Grey Nun has been a very generous and satisfying gift from a loving God. During these 60 years, I have been fortunate to meet supportive, prayerful individuals both within and outside the Congregation. I have been blessed with challenging ministries; the privilege of serving God and the people of God; working with dedicated colleagues; and lasting friendships that evolved and endured through the years.
