Action Alert- Limit climate-destroying carbon pollution

This  action alert comes from Pete Altman at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).  The Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart join with the USCCB and numerous others who hold our environment sacred, in sending this out. Please consider taking the action and then pass the opportunity on to people you know! 

On June 2 the EPA  proposed limits on climate-destroying carbon pollution from our nation’s 600 coal-fired power plants. 

This is historic. These limits will stop the unlimited carbon pollution that spews out from its largest source — coal-fired power plants.

Big Coal and their allies aren’t happy. These polluters are gearing up to mislead us, all in the name of protecting their enormous profits.

Limiting this carbon pollution is the most effective way to take action on global warming. It’s a huge step toward protecting our children and future generations.

Without strong support from the public, this limit could be killed by Big Coal and their allies in Congress. And right now, bills in Congress are being lined up to block these limits.

That’s why your voice is needed today. Tell the EPA to put people before polluters.
