Sometimes my song of praise comes easily and surely –
with gladness and enthusiasm,
Lightness and joy.
Sometimes my praise is hesitant and slow,
nothing that is Your fault,
just my convoluted way of over-processing, I suppose.
Sometimes my praise is self-focused
as though I were solely responsible for Your universe.
[Oh, be patient with me, Love!]
Tonight my praise is soft and gentle,
grateful for your fidelity and your perseverance with me.
Today I saw Your beauty. It made me glad, O Love of my Life!
