The Grey Nun Ecology and Spirituality group met at St. Gabriel’s Retreat Center in Clarks Summit, PA from June 20 – 22  for our annual retreat weekend.  We explored  the very current and critical topic of Climate Change. There is much information to read, learn and then act on according to your own informed conscience. We regularly receive information from PennFuture which is just some of what is available. Climate change is in the news, but that’s nothing new. The onus, however, is on the public to sift through competing arguments.

This week, as we do every week, we take a fact-based approach to issues involving our air, water and land, and how they invariably intersect with climate change. Drilling down deeper, we examine the Supreme Court’s ruling on how EPA can regulate greenhouse gases; EPA’s proposed Clean Power Plan; and the new “Risky Business Report,” a non-partisan assessment of the economic risks associated with climate change.
