Parish bids farewell to Sister Barbara Schiavoni, GNSH

On January 10, St. André Bessette parish bid a fond farewell to Sr. Barbara Schiavoni after six years in Malone. The parish hosted a joint celebration for Sister Barbara and their organist, Sheila Maneely, who has retired.  Sister Barbara will be a member of the Sacred Heart Center being established in Buffalo.

Fr. Joe Giroux stated, “now other folks will benefit from her gentle, kind, and prayerful spirit, which has been such a blessing in our parish and community. Please keep her in your prayers during this time of transition, since good-byes are always tough. We thank you, Sister! We love you!   We’ll miss you a whole lot! And as you make this winter move back to the land of lake effect snow, we send you with our warmest blessings!”
