The Committee for the Incorporation of New Members (CINM) met in March. Along with the Vocation Ministry Team (Sister Barbara Harrington, Maryellen Glackin and Leadership Liaison, Sister Mary Elizabeth Looby) the committee members are: Sisters Anne Marie Beirne, Joan Daly, Mary Karen Kelly, Donna Lord and Eileen Spanier. We shared ways we have been engaged in vocation outreach efforts, especially given the many diocesan efforts taking place for the Year of Consecrated Life.
The Motherhouse Sisters have been engaged in a series of conversations using the three keynote addresses from the recent National Religious Vocation Conference Convocation (11/2014). The next conversation will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at 4 pm. We will discuss the talk given by Sr. Colleen Mary Mallon, OP Transfigured by God, where she reminds us of the part we play in the creation of the universe (cosmos) where God’s love is made manifest. If you would like a copy of this article, or any of the three, please email Maryellen at MGlackin@vocations.com.
Two opportunities to interact with Religious Congregations in the Philadelphia area will be held in May:
In celebration of the Year of Consecrated Life, a day to Serve with the Sisters will be held in the Kensington area of the city on May 3. Numerous Religious Congregations will partner with young adults on a day filled with a variety of projects throughout the area. We hope you are able to join us! We are also offering a “Come and Sea” Life Awareness retreat May 29-31 in Cape May Point, New Jersey. Many thanks to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Philadelphia for opening their summer home to us! Please contact Maryellen for more information
Please continue to pray for all who are discerning a call to Religious Life!
