June Retreat Offering

Written on: March 27, 2015

Have you ever been on a directed retreat? Do you even know what that means? A directed retreat involves three persons –

First, the Lord, who desires to draw closer to us and invites us to come aside and rest awhile, (Mk 6:30-32)

Second, the person desiring a closer relationship with God and seeking ways to follow Him more closely in daily life,

Third, the spiritual director or “spiritual companion on the journey” who listens and helps the you to recognize the presence of the Holy Spirit working in your life.

The directed retreat is offered in an atmosphere of silence, while giving the opportunity for daily one-on-one meeting with a spiritual director, along with the celebration of the Liturgy each day.

Two of our Sisters, Marlene Butler, GNSH and Mary Elizabeth Looby, GNSH, will be part of the team of Spiritual Directors participating in a June 21-26, 2015 retreat which will be held in Ogdensburg, NY. The retreat center is located on a 198 acre campus on the St. Lawrence waterway.  View the flyer here: Wadhams Hall Directed Retreat

This retreat was cancelled due to a lack of folks wanting to make it. But do consider a directed retreat at another site and time.
