Grey Nuns and Social Media

Vocation ministry reaches out to the next generation to invite them into relationship with God and the Church. To do this in the 21st Century involves being a presence on Social Media.

Recently, the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart made a significant investment of time and money into their Congregational website. A custom, stand-alone website is the first level of a consistent cyber-presence which is then shared through Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr. Now, more platforms await our attention!

Recognizing that the Internet is the new classroom– a place where the message of Jesus and the charism of a Congregation can be shared– the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart are shifting the focus of Vocation Ministry outreach toward expanding and enhancing our digital presence.  Efforts at attracting young Catholics will be focused on educating others (and ourselves) about the issues of the day, and why these issues are important to Catholics and other people of Faith.  We’ll be keeping you informed of our ongoing efforts.
