A few years ago, the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart made the difficult decision to sell their Motherhouse property in order to be able to provide financially for the future of the Congregation. Recently, we notified our friends and benefactors of our relocation plans in our annual June Letter from the Motherhouse:
“Blessings on your ‘new chapter’.”

“You are all in my prayers. What a wonderful, positive example you are!”
Jan, Little Rock, AR
We are heartened by the support of others during this difficult time. We ask your prayerful support as we prepare to move our semi-retired Sisters out of the Motherhouse and into a new version of community living. We know they will be ambassadors of the spirit and charism of St. Marguerite D’Youville, as they have always been. We will be posting here and on Facebook as the relocation begins.
It is hard but I know you will be happy wherever you go.
Thank you, Marcy. We appreciate the support of our friends and benefactors. If you anyone would like to speak to a particular sister, please call 215-968-4236 and we’ll be able to give you her new contact information.
Love and prayers are in my heart for all of you as you begin this new journey. Am sure God’s blessings will go with you, and you’ll be under the protection of St. Christopher as you travel into this new life.
Such beautiful property. My heart is a bit broken. I enjoyed many walks with my Aunt, Sr. Mary Joanna Larock and Aunt Helen
( Helen Larock Mahoney). As years passed the resident geese
limited our walks to the spring and other areas!!!
I have many happy memories of our time spent in Yardly and the wonderful Sisters who catered to our every need. The meals we shared with the Sisters were a delight.
Most of Communities are experiencing these difficult decisions.
Dear Lord, watch over the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart as they begin a new journey to which you are calling them.
God bless you all, living and deceased.
Sr. Mary K. LaRock,
Blessings on all of you.You will always be near and dear to my heart.
I’m sure with prayer you will guided!
It has happen in Buffalo and worked well for other community !
