We have been encouraging our NewsNotes readers to sign up for the Global Sisters Report a project of National Catholic Reporter. Recently, one of our own, Sister Eileen White, was featured for her ministry at Dawn’s Place. The writer wanted to alert Pope Francis to five women religious he should spend time with during his visit to the United States. Although he wasn’t able to take advantage of the suggestions, we hope you’ll take a moment to read about Sister Eileen and the four other women who were suggested: GSR link
Dawn’s Place is a home for women who have been victims of human trafficking, mostly in prostitution. It is a collaborative ministry of Religious Congregations in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
