The 2015 Annual Report to Donors contained stories from the “four corners” of new GNSH Congregational living: St. Joseph’s Manor (Sr. Molly McGuire); Holy Redeemer D’Youville Manor (Sr. Donna Jean Tavernier); Holy Redeemer Lafayette (Sisters Mary Finnick, Dolores Fitzpatrick, Maureen Mulligan and Pierette Remillard); Affordable Housing (Sr. Maria Christi Drysdale). All of these stories are now in our Blog and have been posted to Facebook. The Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart are pioneers for a new century! We hope you’ll direct your family and friends to read the blog to learn how the Congregation is planning for the future well-being of all Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart.
Late November and December challenged the Congregation with three unexpected deaths: Sisters Elizabeth Ann Brown, Caroline Silvestrini and Nancy Drigan. How wonderful for these Sisters, though, to be able to celebrate the Christmas Season in Heavenly glory! They will all be dearly missed.
We joyfully celebrated the Christmas Season when many Sisters returned to the Motherhouse to sing carols and enjoy doughnuts with the employees. It was wonderful to have so many Sisters back with us. Many thanks to the Maintenance and Housekeeping staff for leading us in song and creating a joyful holiday atmosphere.
Dear Sister Donna,
The picture of my brick came the day after Christmas and I have been smiling ever since. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and wish you a very Happy and Blessed 2016.
Love ya, Judi
