As Sisters change their residences and re-establish community in new areas, we thought it would be nice to know a little about the experiences they are having.
The majority of Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart have been re-located from the Motherhouse, St. Augustine Hall, other Philadelphia locations as well as Ogdensburg and some of the Baltimore and Buffalo area Sisters. Still to be finalized will be the moves of Sisters who are eligible for low-income housing.
Maryellen spoke with Sister Mary McMahon about the many opportunities to embrace a healthy lifestyle at Holy Redeemer/Lafayette. There is a fitness and strength training room as well as organized classes in various exercise styles and yoga– including chair yoga.
Sisters have created a schedule to gather for prayer at various times and attend Mass regularly. We even heard that Sister Bernadette LaLonde will participate in the lighting of the Menorah during Chanukah!
Music and movies are offered in the evening. All in all a stimulating, healthy, balanced lifestyle is available for those who wish to be engaged.
As we move forward, look for more stories from the Sisters about their new locations to keep you informed of how everyone is embracing this new phase of Community Living!

Sister Maureen Quigley is a first cousin of my father Joe Curtin. He passed in 1999. I have not seen Sister Maureen in a long time. I wrote to her in early 2016. I never received a reply. It was during the time that they were moving. I am just wondering how Sister Maureen Is doing. I think of her often.
I will let Sr. Maureen know. Thank you for thinking of her!

Sister Maureen Quigley is a first cousin of my father Joe Curtin from Buffalo NY. He passed away many years ago and I have lost track,of Sister Maureen. I would like an address so I may send her a note. I want her to know that I think of her often.
I have been praying for Sister Rosemary Cauley, and I am wondering how she is feeling as well as what is her mailing address.
