Corner on Vocations

Those who regularly attend Mass at the Motherhouse will recall that once a month  there is a Mass for Vocations. That Mass will continue to be said in Sacred Heart Chapel and we welcome your prayers and presence with us on the following dates: April 6, May 4, June 1, July 6, August 3.  Wherever you are, please join in this special intention because your prayers for vocations are always powerful.

Recently, a gentleman sent this message to Sister Kay:

My 5 year old daughter (Bella) heard a story in school of the wonderful founder of the Grey Nuns and ever since she has taken a devotion to St. Marguerite D’Youville even saying when she grows up she wants to be a Nun and Saint like her.  Is there a way that you could have a Prayer Card sent to her so we could add St. Marguerite D’Youville to our nightly prayers?  It would mean an awful lot to a young girl in Catholic School trying to find role models in the Church to guide her.

 

 

 

…Of course, the prayer card was sent, along with a glow-in-the-dark figure of Marguerite and some coloring pages. We further learned that Bella now looks forward to her bedtime with her “glowing” Marguerite, who gets a kiss each night. Let us pray for Bella that her heart will remain open to the workings of St. Marguerite.
