Prayers for Peace

During September the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart will be praying in a special way for peace in our nation. The Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange have prepared a calendar of daily intercessions as a guide.  We thank them for sharing this resource with us (If you click on the calendar below, a .pdf will open for printing)

In addition, the USCCB (US Conference of Catholic Bishops) has called for a National Day of Prayer for Peace and Unity on the Feast of St. Peter Claver, September 9. By clicking on this link, you will find a page of resources to use in public and liturgical settings.

Remember, O God, your people in this world who strive to be peacemakers. We pray that we may be set free from the chains of hatred, violence and war that besiege us in our neighborhoods, cities, nation and across the world.
