We wear more water than we drink

Written on: August 18, 2016

Thanks to Upworthy for finding this awesome video on how water is used in the manufacture of new clothing.  As we head back to school, or just into a new season, let’s think about the clothing we buy.  It can take up to 700 gallons of water to make a new t-shirt! Consider not buying something new, or satisfy your craving for an update with a thrift store find. Another fun idea is to have friends bring their unwanted clothing to a “Swap Party.” You may be tired of wearing something, but it might be just what your friend needs in his or her wardrobe.

Tell us how you recycle and repurpose your unwanted clothing!
