Ilia Delio Presentation

At the end of March, Buffalo enjoyed two presentations by Ilia Delio, OSF.  An evening hour was offered at Canisius College, followed by a morning session at the University of Buffalo Newman Center.  Several Grey Nuns  of the Sacred Heart attended both sessions. Sister Ilia’s topic was Consciousness and the new Cosmology: The Search for Wholeness. Ilia spoke with passion about our need to understand new scientific realities as they affect our lives and our relationship with God. She stressed our responsibilities to reverence and care for creation. She also touched on the benefits of artificial intelligence, its potential, and the need for caution as it develops.

She is a noted theologian and has written on the connection of Christianity and Cosmology.  The evening presentation at the Montante Center at Canisius was free of charge.  The GNSH Earth Committee was a co-sponsor of this event.
