Sister Mary McMahon croppedSister Mary McMahon (Sister Mary Margaret) began her ministry in religious life as an elementary school teacher. She has worked in religious education, as a school secretary, and as a catechist. She was a valuable volunteer at Interfaith Housing Development Corporation of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and has served as a Eucharistic Minister for the homebound and for those in mourning through St. Andrew’s Parish in Newtown, PA. She is currently a resident at Holy Redeemer Lafayette where she takes advantage of the many activities provided there. She has practiced yoga for many years and enjoys a wide variety of music.

God, who knew what was best for me, called me to be a Grey Nun of the Sacred Heart. The ministry I enjoyed was teaching adults the Rite of Christian Initiation as a process to become Catholic. I thank God for His many blessings to me throughout these 60 years as a Grey Nun of the Sacred Heart.
