A prayer service for the Season of Creation was held in the Community space in Liberty Park. We are grateful for those who came out to pray with us. Pictured here are Sisters Karen Marie Voltz, Sheila Stone, Barbara Harrington, and friends.

Atlanta

CTK Cathedral St. Marguerite

For the Feast of St. Marguerite, Sister Jean Liston officially presented Christ the King Cathedral with the portrait of St. Marguerite d’Youville. Many will remember it hanging in the Yardley Motherhouse lobby for many years. We are happy to know this beautiful picture of our foundress will be seen by thousands of new eyes in the coming years!

Philadelphia

Dinner at LafayetteSr. Theresa Huong Nguyen, LHC, came to visit with us in Philadelphia before her return home to Viet Nam in January. Her recently completed studies as well as her improved English will greatly enrich her congregation and its work in Viet Nam!  We will miss her but know that 9 years away from home is a long time.  We rejoice with her family and community as they look forward to welcoming her home. (You may recall we hosted Sisters Theresa and Anna at the Yardley Motherhouse as they spent their summer months improving their English fluency and studying).

Atlanta Associates

10-17 PrayerWe received a lovely note from the Atlanta Grey Nun Associates which included the prayer they say at every gathering (shared here as our Monthly Reflection ). Sister Diane called the group when they gathered in September and they were very grateful. Georganne Donnelly told us that they meet four times a year. We have heard, that since they are finding it more difficult to travel, their main ministry is prayer.  Prayer requests  they receive are recorded in a book which is placed on a table during their gatherings.

Georganne shared,

“It is a true blessing each time we meet as every lady here is a joy.”

Thank you, ladies, for continuing to be a source of  joy for each other, and for us. We depend upon your prayers and remember all of you in ours!

Philadelphia Associates

GNSH Philadelphia Area Associates made their one-year Commitment on Saturday October 14, 2017. The Commitment was held at Holy Redeemer Lafayette and was followed by a Social with the Sisters in which those gathered enjoyed refreshments and delightful conversation.

Associates that were able to participate are pictured below. Associates that were not able to participate will make their commitments at an upcoming meeting.

We are grateful to each of our Associates for the witness you give to the life and charism of St. Marguerite. You are a blessing to our Congregation.
