The Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart Condemn Anti-Semitic Killing and all Hate Crimes November, 2018

The Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart join with all people of faith across the country and the world in grieving the deaths of the congregants at Tree of Life Synagogue as well as the many other victims of shootings at synagogues, schools, churches, mosques, in homes and on our streets and places of entertainment.

We mourn with you and pray with you and for you for healing.

We are greatly disturbed by the violence that has become so common place in our society.  Our faith will not allow us to be silent in denouncing white supremacy and its white nationalist ideology that is currently destroying the very fabric of our democracy by fueling hate crimes. We recommit ourselves to living nonviolently and advocating for peace with justice, knowing that love is stronger than hate and will prevail.
