Call for Reform

The Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart raise our voices in union with the many congregations of women religious, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and concerned citizens throughout the world in the absolute condemnation of the egregious treatment of our sisters and brothers seeking asylum from the all-pervasive violence and corruption in their own countries.

We demand that President Trump and members of Congress look beyond the present politics that divide us and that allow inhumane policies to prevail.  We call on Congress and the President to pass legislation that immediately addresses the immoral separation of children from parents, unsanitary and unsafe detainment centers and the Remain in Mexico policy.

The greatness of America can only be measured by our capacity for compassionate respect for all peoples.
