A 75th Jubilee celebration was held for the intentions of Sr. Ann Bernadette Harron at St. Joseph Manor on Monday, June 17. Many of the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart were able to attend, including all of her Jubilarian Sisters. Not one for the limelight, Sister Ann Bernadette seemed very pleased to be the center of attention for the day.
A cake and sweets reception was held following the Mass.
The GNSH were grateful to the celebrant, Fr. Dennis O’Donnell for mentioning Sr. Ann Bernadette by name throughout his homily and during the liturgy. Thank you to the many helpers who assisted with moving the Sisters and serving the treats. Special thanks to Maureen Goodall for helping Sr. Ann Bernadette get dressed in her new outfit to be ready for this special liturgy. MANY pictures of the day are available here.
Annunciation House thanks our supporters!
Thank you for your generosity as Sr. Diane and I went to El Paso for two weeks to “be the compassion of Christ” for those arriving at our southern border.
Sr. Diane and I, along with Sr. Pat Ginty, OP, a Dominican Sister volunteer and friend, made many trips to the warehouse stores and to the pharmacy to purchase combs, blankets, fruit, razors, snacks, shoelaces, and many other items. We also used your donations for the laundromat. The money that we had not spent already on supplies, was sent to Annunciation House as a cash donation. Thank you, as ever, for your generous support of the mission “to extend our hands to the needy,” in imitation of our foundress, St. Marguerite d’Youville
Terry Baldwin, who volunteers as bookkeeper for Annunciation House wrote in a thank you note we received for the monetary donation, “Compassionate supporters like you have made it possible for us to continue to respond to the many who come knocking at our doors and that are abandoned, and meet them with love, hospitality and respect. The immigrants have such gratitude for the love and care they have received. You are a part of our family.”
Gratefully, Sr. Eileen White, GNSH

Out of respect for the privacy of the people they served at the border, Sr. Diane and Sr. Eileen did not take any photos during their time in El Paso, TX.
Thank you from Sr. Mary Finnick
Thank you for the prayers, visits, good wishes and many kindnesses during my recent health issues and recovery. I truly believe your prayers went a long way to speeding up my recovery. I am back on my feet and so very, very grateful for all of your love and support.
