GNSHAssociates
Thanks to the efforts of Angel Conicelli and Sr. Barbara Schiavoni, the GNSHAssociates have been meeting every other Friday through Zoom video calls. They gather for prayer and reflection, sharing on a theme and to “check-in” with one another. It’s certainly not as nice as meeting in person, but is a good substitute. The virtual experience has also allowed those at a distance to participate. Sisters are welcome to join in. Contact Sr. Barbara for how to participate.
Novices Profess Vows- Pictured below are three of the young women Sr. Mary Elizabeth worked with in Ghana. They professed their First Vows as Marian Sisters of Eucharistic Love. Congratulations to these young women and their Congregation. The Novices in their own words.
I am the person named Eva Azuma, age 24, from Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region of Ghana. I am a second year novice in the congregation of the Marian Sisters of Eucharistic Love.
I became a sister so that I can love God more tenderly, know him more closely and serve him more dearly through the poor. I would like my career to be that of a doctor or a nurse but my superior will decide for me about my occupation. My hobbies are reading, cooking and caring for the sick poor and the youth. I am happy to be making first vows August 15, 2020!
I am called Sr. Mary Immaculate Issaka, age 23. I am from the Upper East Region of Ghana, Bawku, a village called Binduri. My favorite meal to eat is a riceball. I like listening to preaching, singing and reading spiritual books.
The reason I joined the religious life is to preach the gospel to the world and bring Christ’s love to humanity through serving the poor.
I am looking forward to making first profession on August 15, 2020!
My name is Audry Magdalene Kandose and I was born 23rd June 1991, age 29, in Navrogo in the Upper East Region. We are four children in number and I am the third born of my parents. I liked to be with children or “Kindz” from the beginning up to today and I used to play with them. If I am with Kindz I feel good comforting them more than if I am with grown ups.
I know and still like listening to music, especially gospel songs. My hope is to be a weaver in the future, the one who makes local cloth. The food I like is vegetables and T.Z., porridge inside of a corn pancake.
I am here because I had the desire to be a sister when I was in high school. When I completed school, I volunteered for one full year while living at home with my family. Through a priest I got to know of Nazareth Home for God’s children. That is why I am here and like helping to bring up the children. I am excited to be making first vows August 15, 2020!

nice–but Dolores Beatty’s birthday is in August . I know for a fact–Kathleen Clotfelter.
Within the Congregation, Sister have an option to celebrate their birthday or feast day. Sr. Dolores prefers to celebrate her Feast Day. You will notice that Feast Day is italicized and also the inclusion of FD after the date. You must know Sr. Dolores very well!
