Small Group Meetings Continue– Sr. Eileen White, GNSH
Grey Nuns held a second session in January for groups of 8-10 Sisters to pray together on conference call or Zoom and share ideas about how God has called each of us and all of us through events and experiences, whether welcomed heartily or resisted, to a grace-filled change or transformation.
It is edifying to see how Sisters of all ages have responded to both the technological challenge of learning how to use a conference call or Zoom and the spiritual and psychological challenge of sharing aspects of one’s personal journey in faith and the congregation’s evolution since 1921 when we first became Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart.
Looking back at our individual lives and the 100 year history of the community, we often realized that even when change seemed terribly difficult or even mistaken, in time, God’s Providence was in the lead.

Lent will soon be upon us!  As we continue through the liturgical year under Covid restrictions, here is a unique way to enter into Lent for 2021. You are cordially invited to participate in an online Zoom retreat “Live the Lent You Get!” presented by Ms. Christine Eberle. Sisters and Associates will join virtually for this experience which is jointly sponsored by the Grey Nun Associates and the newly formed GNSH Spiritual Animation Committee. This retreat takes the place of the regularly scheduled Associates Zoom call for February.  We hope to “see” you on Feb. 13!  RSVP by Feb. 10 to Evelina McGuigan.

Circle the Cities Country With Love– Maryellen Glackin

My Dear Friends,
Once again we Stood for Love around the Country and made a difference!!  We estimated at least 3000 folks joined us.  Thank you so much for all you did to help make the Inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris filled with wisdom, peace, love, and fun!!  In Love, Sr. Rita Petruziello, CSJ (National organizer)

Thank you to the Sisters and Grey Nun Associates who participated. Some of you let me know, but I’m guessing that more of you joined in this peaceful and prayerful moment.
We continue our prayers for the Biden-Harris Administration. They have a lot to accomplish, especially getting the virus under control!

Thank You Notes

Dear Sisters and Grey Nun Associates
Thanks for sharing in my big day on Saturday January 16. The house was full of people dropping by and it stayed that way until supper time. The house is full of flowers and the cards count is over 100! Those Grey nuns and associates swelled the number.
Love, Pat Lord (sister of Sr. Donna Lord)

Dear Sisters, GNSH Staff and Friends,
I want to thank you for your many greetings and gifting at Christmas time. I am so grateful that you took time to remember me so abundantly with cards, calls and gifts.
Thank you so much.
Sr. Eileen Murray

Happy Birthday and Feast Day to all especially my “Aunt Petey” ( Sr. Pierette Remillard”. Aunt Petey is so special in our very large family. She is the family historian keeping track of all her many nieces and nephews including the great and great great ones. She is amazing – I love her many stories about all of her sisters and brothers including my father who have all passed. Aunt Petey always has a smile and a hug for all of us. We ,speaking for the whole family , are blessed to have her. We love you and all of the sisters who have given so much to so many!
