The Leadership Council of Women Religious (LCWR) sponsors round table discussions in May and June about the emerging future of religious life.
The May virtual round table featured:
Erin McDonald, CSJ and Kathryn Press, ASCJ from Giving Voice;
Deborah Borneman from the National Religious Vocation Conference; and
Ellen Dauwer, from the Religious Formation Conference.
They shared their observations, hopes, and passion for religious life. They emphasized that although religious life no longer looks the same as it did when golden and diamond Jubilarians entered their communities, religious life is still vital and vibrant.
New members no longer come in crowds, nor do they remember the days of dozens of nuns in schools and hospitals, but they come just as eager for a life dedicated to Jesus Christ in prayer and service.
The round table discussions may be made available to Sisters interested in hearing the presentations and reflecting with others about religious life in the future.
