3rd quarter April-August– ongoing Laudato Si’ Education (print copy)

“Today… we have to realize that a true ecological approach always becomes a social approach; it must integrate questions of justice in debates on the environment, so as to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.” LS49

Read, reflect and pray with Chapter 1: Sections IV, V, VI and VII. Discuss with others using the question below (which is also at the back of the book if you have that edition), or simply share whatever touched you in the reading.

Focus Question:

  • Watch at least three YouTube videos on Circular Economy. Chapter 1, Section I, Paragraph 22 in Laudato Si mentions the “circular model of production”:

… But our industrial system, … has not developed the capacity to absorb and reuse waste and by-products. We have not yet managed to adopt a circular model of production capable of preserving resources for present and future generations…

Below is a list of a few short, worthwhile videos that talk about Circular Economy in simple terms.
