From Sr. Eileen White, GNSH
The Leadership Conference of Women Religious has been providing resources and opportunities for individual and communal discernment about the emerging future of religious life for the past several years. We have listened to one another and to others who serve religious life and this has expanded our understanding of the challenges and transformative possibilities leaders and members of religious congregations’ experience.
Between April and June, leadership teams of many congregations will meet in Dallas, Chicago, St. Louis, or Baltimore to explore further potential for cooperation among religious institutes.
For three days in early June, our GNSH President, Sr. Denise Roche, and Leadership Council members, Sisters Anne Marie Beirne, Bridget Connor, Barbara Schiavoni, and Eileen White, will participate with leaders of other religious communities in conversations focused on helping us to deepen our understanding and sharing of charism. We will also seek together some concrete ways we might collaborate and create partnerships across congregations.
Please pray for our Sisters and all who will attend these gatherings, that the guidance of the Spirit of Wisdom will be upon them during these sacred conversations.
