Laudato Si’ Videos and more!

There have been many articles written recently about various aspects of plastic pollution. Here are a few titles to help you learn more about how this is being reported in the news and addressed by different constituencies:

• The world is creating more single-use plastic waste than ever – CNN has the scoop on our partner, Minderoo Foundation’s newly released Plastic Waste Makers Index.
• Allegheny Front covers the groups suing Shell over pollution violations from its massive new ethane cracker facility in Beaver, PA.
• Yale Environment 360 has the story on the impacts of all the microplastics particles filling our skies.
• BBC Future looks at how microplastics are infiltrating the food we eat.
• If you took our action urging REI to stop selling products that include PFAS, please check out this update from our friends at Toxic-Free Future and help keep the pressure on.
• Finally, a little good news from NPR who reports that England will ban single-use plastic plates, trays, bowls, cutlery, balloon sticks and certain kinds of polystyrene cups and food containers.
