Chapter Gatherings Begin– Submitted by Sr. Eileen White: The Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, like most religious communities of women, elect delegates from their membership who meet every several years at what is called “Chapter” to review and renew their response to God’s call to belong to Christ and be in service to others. This year is one of those Chapter times. On February 9th and 10th, we will gather for the first of two Chapter sessions to consider some changes in the ministry of leadership of the congregation. Sisters from Buffalo and Albion, New York, will join those from the Philadelphia area at the meetings. The second and last session of Chapter will be in May of this year. Please keep us in your prayers during these sacred times in the life of our Congregation.
Christmas Cards: The 3rd and 7th graders at St. Joan of Arc School in Jackson Heights, NY sent homemade Christmas Cards for GNSH. Sr. Mary Patrick’s niece Maryhelen is the 3rd grade teacher there. Sr. Eileen Spanier shared the cards with the Sisters living at the Plaza. Click here to view photos online
