Celebrating Bob Creely and 20 Years of Service

February 10, 2006. Do you remember where you were? Some of the Grey Nuns may remember this date since it is the date our own Bob Creely was hired, 20 years ago!

The staff and leadership team recently celebrated Bob and his milestone with lunch and cake at the Southampton office. Sister Denise Roche presented Bob with a Certificate of Appreciation after lunch.

Ever gracious and humble, Bob was surprised and delighted that his anniversary was remembered. He entertained us with stories of working at the Motherhouse, his office at the Plaza, moving to Bustleton, and eventually to the current office in Southampton.

The staff also shared memories of Bob of their own, and most of those memories were of Bob going above and beyond for a certain sister or co-worker. Bob starts his day, every day, with a smile, a kind heart, and a whole lot of patience.

As Debbie Adams shared, “We are grateful for Bob’s 20 years of service to the Grey Nuns. We applaud him for his dedication, professionalism, willingness to do anything and everything asked of him and always with a smile. He is truly one of the best!”

When asked what his secret is to remain so calm during the workday, Bob responded,

“I follow three rules.
One – work hard,
two – be flexible and,
three – don’t lose your sense of humor.”

That is some sage advice from a wise person! Thank you, Bob, for twenty amazing years. Looking forward to many more.
