In the spirit of St. Marguerite d’Youville, our foundress, the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart strive to be signs of God’s unconditional love as we collaborate to create a more just and compassionate world.
Do you desire to share your God-given gifts and talents with the outcast and the stranger?
Do you reject a consumption-based society in favor of a life focused on the needs of others, including the Earth?
A life of simplicity, lived for others inspired a young, Catholic widow, Marguerite d’Youville to live a simple life of service. The way she lived her life spoke to those around her so powerfully that many were anxious to live like her. In time, others embraced her simple lifestyle within a variety of professions and ministries. They developed their minds, hearts and hands to be of service to God’s people. Today, women and men across the globe follow her example of Universal Charity.
Do you desire to share the love in your heart with the world?
Would you like to be more than the power of one?
How can you use the gifts and talents you have been blessed with?
We invite women and men to explore ways to live a life that will help to build a Compassionate World in the tradition of St. Marguerite d’Youville and the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart.
Next: I’m not sure if this is for me…
