A Prayer for Discernment of My Unique Call

Eternal and loving God,
I desire to discover your will for me.
Help me as I discern your unique call addressed to me.

Through the intercession of St. Marguerite d’Youville,
I seek to grow in compassion and generosity as she did,
in service to God’s poor ones.

I seek to become a part of a 300 year old line of loving witnesses
bringing compassionate care to your people. May my hands bring respite and welcome to God’s poor.

If it be your will, permit me to cast my lot among these women dedicated to God and serving the needs of the poor in so many ministries. May my heart and my hands find meaningful companionship, witness and mission among them. Amen
